The National Arts Council of Singapore has launched a state-of-the-art new audio guide system for November’s Singapore Biennale 2006. Created by Mobile Adventures Pty Ltd, WALK THE TALK ™, lets visitors simply dial a telephone number as they make their way around the Biennale, and hear all about the different artists and art installations on display. Access is free, though standard charges for making a local call apply. A significant advance on standard museum audio guides, the Council’s technology will allow users to exchange their own interpretations of the artworks on display. As with most museum guides, users will also have the option of listening to populist interpretations of the exhibits, as well as the more traditional ‘curatorial’ ones. The system features a brief overview of the artworks, followed by a series of audio options. Each listener will have the choice to: 1) record their own impression; 2) listen to those of others; 3) hear relatively in-depth content; 4) hear a brief history of the venue. Singapore’s first major cultural event to ally contemporary visual art practices with citizens’ everyday lives, the Council’s Biennale aims to challenges notions that contemporary art is difficult to understand, and find methods of presentation beyond museums and galleries

We are in great distress of this global epidemic of poverty in most houses around the globe. The food we take, the utility service fees and even the gasoline that we use in our daily routines have gone to sky with their own versions of high prices. We may admit it or not, we are given very abundant and blissful resources for everyone. We have the  very beautiful and bountiful possessions for our daily consumption. But, as point in time goes on, these wealth have been deficient due to our maltreatment. We should accept this reality and we must live with it. Problems will not be gone and so we must deal with it. In today’s point of view, it is very hard to find community or group of people who are generous enough to lend their hands anytime. It is very hard to get someone who feels our needs and those who are willing to help us who are stressful from these dilemma. I hope there could be a charitable people who could give such loans to us who are in desolation. A business loan for those who can expertly handle his resources efficiently. Unsecured Personal Loans for people who do not have much financial capabilities to pay for their daily needs due to these uprisings. Unsecured Personal Loans is the best.

It may be an advantage for most of us to have such devices, machineries and technologies to ease our work but we can not deny the fact that it caused us some disadvantages. With these new technologies, almost every item in the market has their own mark-ups just to cope up with the cost of these innovations. Life has changed but living still remained that is why almost all of us are suffering from these changes. We are spending more than what we are earning that is why most of the countries today are suffering global insurgency against poverty.  I personally have felt the burden of these globalizations and sad to say I am one of those people who can not manage my money. How I wish to have such talent to manage properly my money for future use. Anyways, I get to some ways that I could get out from the reality like availing Unsecured Personal Loans. It is very convenient and a great help to most common people who had the same living like mine. I hope to get over these problems. I hope Unsecured Personal Loans would be the answer.

A survey by human resource body ECA International, which compared the costs of 128 consumer goods and services purchased by expatriates in more than 300 cities, has been released.

The most expensive city in Asia for expats is Seoul, followed by Tokyo and Yokohama. Worldwide, the most expensive city is Luanda, the capital city of Angola, followed by Oslo and Moscow.

According to the survey, Singapore is the ninth most expensive city in Asia this year, up a notch from last year — 122nd worldwide, up 10 rungs.

Hong Kong’s ranking has remained unchanged as the fifth most expensive location in the region and 79th worldwide.

“The recent rise in GST and overall rising inflation resulting in higher CPI have all contributed to pushing up living costs in Singapore. This, together with no change in Hong Kong’s position, means that the gap is closing between the two traditionally competitive locations,” said ECA, the world’s largest membership organisation for human resource professionals.
